Heather D. Wilson is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, with a degree in English and a minor in creative writing. After working as an assistant manuscript editor for Houghton Mifflin Company in Boston, she moved back down south where she received a master of fine arts in creative writing at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. A writer, teacher, arts administrator, and yoga instructor, Heather is happy to live, work and play in Cape Fear region of North Carolina. She lives with her husband, stepdaughter, son, and dog Daisy in Wilmington, just 15 minutes away from the sand and water of Wrightsville and Carolina Beaches. Eleven years into her residency on the NC coast and she still feels like she’s on vacation every time her feet hit the sand of the beach.
